Talk about taking you back! My wife's grandparents had one of these on their porch, and her childhood memories of this glider bring happy tears to her eyes. We love it so much that I had to purchase a second Jack Post Glider from Amazon. The color is true to the picture. Also, the quality for the price is pretty good. You can purchase a higher quality glider online from Torrans, but you’ll pay $100 - $150 more for it. A friend purchased a Torrans brand which I assembled. It truly is a better quality, but I am satisfied with the Jack Post Gliders from Amazon. Both that I purchased had a couple scratches, and the Torrans also had a couple very minor scratches. I figured that if even the Torrans had minor scratches and cost $150 more, I’d take a chance from Amazon and get the lesser, but satisfactory quality. I got TWO Jack Posts for the price of ONE Torrans. Worked for me!It is a little challenging putting it together by yourself, but I utilized an ottoman to support the seats as I connected them to the frame. Definitely very easy to put together with another person. A couple of the plastic screw head covers popped off, but no big deal. If I really wanted them to stay on, a little dab of superglue would do the trick, especially since a person isn't very likely to disassemble it after assembling it.If I had room for yet one more of these gliders, I’d buy one. They’re a great gift to give a friend, especially if you offer to help assemble it! I highly recommend this product.
